Motivated by Quotatium April 11, 2016 16:13

Getting motivated to get fit is no easy feat. That's why, here at Quotatium, were here to help you every step of the way. Getting fit doesn't happen just overnight unfortunately, it takes years of practice, patience, and endurance to overcome any obstacles, and accomplish your goals.

Athletes are hard workers, so we found a few to share how they got motivated:

1) Michael Jordan

MJ is the legendary basketball player who rewrote the history books in the NBA. Michael got his start at the University of North Carolina. He was the star of the Chicago Bulls, and later in his career the Washington Wizards. He's now an owner, and doing just fine. Michael Jordan came a long way, and without motivation he wouldn't be nearly as far. When he was only in high school he was cut from tryouts for his basketball team. Taking the loss hard, he didn't just give up and quit. He decided to use that pain to his advantage and practice everyday, getting better and better. Now, he is the man you've heard of today.

2) Mike Tyson

Mike Tyson may seem like he has it all: clothes, money, houses. But in the beginning of his life, he didn't have anything, literally. He was taken from a homeless shelter by his future coach, and trained year after year to become the legendary heavyweight fighter he was. When he was a little kid he was bullied and beat up constantly, so he decided to learn how to defend himself. If he had given up, you wouldn't of known Mike Tyson had ever had one of the quickest knock outs in boxing history.

3) Jackie Robinson

Jackie Robinson is one of the most well known baseball players of our time. His ability to run fast, and steal bases made it seem like a walk in the park. Except, he had a lot of trouble getting to his immortal status. When he started out in baseball, a black player on a white team was unheard of. Luckily for us, he broke those barriers so he could show us what it truly means to be great.

Warren Buffett Wisdom April 08, 2016 09:24

Investing is one of the smartest decisions you can make, regardless if you truly know the stock market or not. Investing into the stock market can seem like a foolish idea if you're not sure how to, but it can also be foolish not to invest in the stock market either. Taking risks is part of investment, and can teach you lessons no matter what happens.

If you're someone who holds onto valued items for decades waiting for the right time to sell it, then keep holding onto that item. Stocks offer the most potential for growth in the shortest amount of time.

Even if investing in the stock market seems like a scary idea, remember you don't need to invest all your money into the stock market to see it grow. As time goes on, the stock will naturally grow. Especially if you've invested into a big company (Coca-Cola, Disney, etc.)

One of the biggest rockstars of the investing world is none other than Warren Buffett, one of the richest men in the whole entire world. Warren Buffett had been interested in the stock market since he was a little boy, where he learned the value of the dollar, and the potential growth it could create. Now he is the CEO and Chairman of Berkshire-Hathaway, his own company. adores Mr. Buffett's ideologies so much that we offer many products with his various wisdom.

World's Greatest Investors June 03, 2015 20:00

Today, we are taking a history lesson to find out more about success stories in the world of investment.

Quotatium introduces you to 10 great investors who have made immense contribution to the market.

Firstly, Benjamin Graham declares that any investment should be more valuable than the amount an investor has to pay.

In John Templeton’s case, he bought low during the Depression, sold high during the internet boom and made more than a few good calls in between."

Thomas Rowe Price, Jr. is considered to be "the father of growth investing." He pioneered the long-term investment movement in good companies.

John Neff’s tactic involves investing in popular industries. This brought him a gain of more than 55 times an initial investment.

Jesse Livermore has accumulated experience through his wins as well as his loses.

Next, Peter Lynch, often described as a "chameleon,"could adapt to any investment style worked at the time.

As an investor, George Soros was a short-term speculator, making huge bets on the directions of financial markets. He also has an aggressive hedge fund.

Warren Buffett, referred to as the "Oracle of Omaha", has amassed a multibillion dollar fortune mainly through buying stocks and companies through Berkshire Hathaway.

John (Jack) Bogle started the no loan mutual fund and championed low-cost index, investing for millions of investors.

Once again, we are proud to inspire you.

The real key to making money in stocks is not to get scared out of them.

Peter Lynch

"We don't have to be smarter than the rest. We have to be more disciplined than the rest."

Warren Buffett

"Work hard in silence; let success make the noise."

Peter Lynch and Warren Buffet are two of the accomplished stock investors. They have a lot of experience under their belt and have given out inspirational advice to succeed in the stock market.

Just like Peter advises, Do not be too intimidated by finances or we might become too nervous to make right decisions. Stay calm and brace yourselves for prospective imperfections and learn from them. Successful investing takes time.

In Buffett’s words, do not be intimidated to work with people who are smarter than you. They will not only heighten your skills but they also teach you good habits. Stay humble and take their advice to heart and you will surely improve.

Last but not least,

Hard-working people are not rare. However, not everyone can work hard without boasting about it. Ultimately, the reality does not meet the boasted expectation.

Only few people have enough knowledge to remain humble. Hence their success will make louder noise. Action speaks louder than words.
With this quote, always remind yourselves to remain silent and do not boast about their abilities. The result will be very satisfying.

We also have two sizes available 8x10 and 11x17, and offer download as well.

More and more awesome products are coming so remember to stay tune!!

Wall Street's Origin May 14, 2015 12:00

In 1653, a wall was constructed on the northern part of the Dutch settlement of New Amsterdam to protect the colony from an attack from New England countries.

The wall consisted of 16 foot logs sunk four feet into the ground and sharpened at the top. The English did attack in 1664, and the wall was torn down in 1699.

The street where the wall once stood was subsequently named "Wall Street."

The Oldest US Stock Market May 11, 2015 10:01

In the last post, we know that the oldest stock exchange in the world started in Antwerp. So what about the United States?

The Philadelphia Stock Exchange (PHLX) is the oldest stock exchange in the United States. Located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and founded in 1790. In 1949 and 1954, it merged with the Baltimore Stock Exchange and the Washington Stock Exchange.

On October 22, 1981, trading was halted on Philadelphia Stock Exchange after anonymous callers said bombs had been placed in the buildings.

Nowadays, this stock exchange is known as NASDAQ OMX PHLX.

RULES OF THE TRADE May 07, 2015 17:30

 "Two rules for investing:

Rule number one: most things will prove to be cyclical
Rule number two: some of the greatest opportunities for gain and loss come when other people forget rule number one"
- Howard Marks

"Good traders manage the downside, they don't worry about the upside."

- Mark Minervini

Howard Marks and Mark Minervini are two of the more successful investor and veterans of the stock world.

In the stock market language, Marks implies nothing lasts forever. To pay the lowest amount, one must first sold high. In other words, after a long period of price increases, investment will surely decrease rather than further advances.

Minervini’s quote could not have been any clearer. Always consider the setbacks before making decisions because the cons may overpower the supposed pros.

Taking these into accounts, Quotatium proudly introduces two new products. These new posters have the quotes imprinted to remind us all the principles to become a great investor.

Not only do we have two sizes available 8x10 and 11x17, but we also offer download to save time and money.

So hurry and check these out!

The Beginning May 07, 2015 10:42

Everything has a beginning. So is the stock market.
The oldest stock exchange in the world started in Antwerp, Belgium in 1460 under the rule of Philip the Good. It traded financial securities primarily bonds. The Antwerp stock exchange also became the first to keep written records of its trading.
In 1531,its house securities trading got its own building. Also in 1531, a New Stock Exchange was built on the busiest shopping street of Antwerp, known as “Meir.” It was the first building in the world designed as a stock exchange and a trade exchange. It burned down in 1858 and was reconstructed in an intricate Neo-Gothic style.

The Charging Bull May 04, 2015 07:07

Spirit animals have always been an integral part of many events or organizations. Of course, for an economic driving force like New York, a mascot is of great vitality. In this case, the animal is the Charging Bull, sometimes referred to as the Wall Street Bull.

The Charging Bull, which is situated in the Bowling Green Park, is a 3-ton bronze sculpture by Arturo Di Modica. It is also one of the most well known statues in the world.

To both newcomers and veterans of the financial world, the bull is a symbol of a strong stock market. In other words, the bull symbolizes participants’ optimism and confidence. This icon is not only a spectacular sight to behold, from tourists to brokers to readers, it is also considered to be a symbol of luck and prosperity.
